A Short Story About Us

NAB, Bhopal branch was founded by NAB, State branch indore on 27th August 1986. In the last 35 years Bhopal district branch is doing various activities and initiatives for the Welfare, development, and benefits of visually impaired people. National Association for the Blind, Bhopal branch is working on core mission of Training & Education for Visually Impaired Children along with Employment, Rehabilitation and involving them in the mainstream of the society. Along with above all initiatives it is working on various activities for the overall social & economic development of visually impaired people.

In 1996 establishment of Hostel and rehabilitation center in Bhopal was started with the help of organization.

Building Homes

A decent living space is quintessential to dignified living. It is our continuous endeavour to provide nurturing living spaces in the form of community living, hostels, foster homes etc to the visually challenged which in turn provide a sense of security and dignity to them.

Healthy Food For All

'You are ,what you eat'- Health & nutritional requirements of a living being should never be compromising. We ensure that the residents here are provided balanced and fortified food for wholesome goodness of life.

Child Support

We welcome visually challenged children from all the walks of life. We aim at providing all kinds of assistance in our capacity to the children who are the most vulnerable ones - academic tuition, mentorship,financial support, psychology counseling etc.

We belive in..

There is a lack of social awareness for the visually impaired persons in the society. Keeping this fact as a mission NAB created awareness on various issues and problems faced by visually impaired person among different classes of society. This initiative resulted in the major change in the mind-set of the people and several people and groups initiated help in every possible way for the visually impaired person.

On one side organization is continuously trying to create Social awareness for the visually impaired persons and problems faced by them in the society, also on the other side it is working for the employment and various type of education in Computers, Braille, music, personality development along with rehabilitation of visually impaired people.

Education

It is much easier for more number of children to go at a time to school for their studies with regular Children. It is also saving their time because in small vehicle they have to wait for their turn.

Entertainment

There are many occasions when Children go for outing, picnic and sometimes movies also and going together in this vehicle will surely make their trips more memorable, & comfortable.

Hostel and Rehabilitation center: Establishment and Operations:

In 1996 establishment of Hostel and rehabilitation center in Bhopal was started with the help of organization. In this center all the facilities related to their Food, shelter & education were provided free of cost to the rural children’s in the age group of 6-16 years.
